The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute is a private, non-profit oceanographic research center in Moss Landing, California. MBARI was founded in 1987 by David Packard, and is primarily funded by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
The goal is to rebrand Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). The work includes designing a new logo, posters about the organization, business card, envelope, letterhead, and Instagram page. Designing to involve the organization in an activity includes designing event tickets, posters, Badges, Wristbands, and Schedule cards.
LogoThe logo is inspired by the air currents floating around in the sea air, as if they have their own destination. The air currents follow their own unique routes at sea, but sudden temperature changes disrupt their routes. The rectangle in the logo represents the air currents, and the center point formed by the four four-square relative middle expresses that the changes in this air current are worthy of people's attention.
